Basic Solar Storm Emergency Preparedness Guidelines

   It goes without saying that everyone, especially families, should have some kind of solar emergency preparedness plan in the event NASA is right and we in fact get, "A Once In A Lifetime Super Solar Storm Event".  The trouble is... this super solar storm warning is uncharted water for modern civilization, so most of us have little to no idea what such a plan would involve because NASA is not offering any guidelines. Only that NASA is warning the public to prepare themselves. But how???

   There are two stages to a good plan for the coming solar storm that NASA assures us that is coming soon. The first part requires advanced preparation. Just like the captain of an ocean liner who already has his life rafts ready to go, we must do the same as well. This is the second part of a two part solar storm preparedness plan, with the first part requires getting something's ready days, if not weeks in advance.
The second part is what do you do, once you get the word that a super solar burst is about to hit the earth? Keep in mind that since we are in uncharted waters, we truly do not know how bad it's going to get down here on earth until after the sun storm hits the earth, which could go on for months. Because of there are more questions then there are answers, we need to prepared for the worse.

• Immediately run to your predestinated safe room/home that you have prepared in advance for a solar storm. (This first stage of preparation is found in your Emergency Solar Storm Survival Guide.)  Since scientist have no exact idea of the exact rate of speed the electromagnetic blast from the sun will be traveling at, they have no exact idea how long it will be before it hits the earth. Some scientist say that they can get the time of impact down to a 12 hour window. But I would not count on that information. So every minute counts once you learn that you need to get your butt home fast! Not to mention that while you're on your way home, your car could suddenly stop working resulting from a super high jolt of electromagnetic energy from the sun, and then you will have to walk the rest of the way back! So drop everything you are doing when you get the final warning and get back to your predestinated safe room/home while you still can. If you have to pick up other family members along the way, make sure they understand to wait near the road where they can get in quickly once you arrive. Do NOT stop at any stores on your way home.  Go straight home!!

• If you have a small bike you can do without for a while, you might want to carefully place it in your car's trunk or backseat, this way, should your car suddenly stop working, you will at least have a bike you can use to get the rest of the way home. You'll be kicking yourself in the ass should you find yourself wishing you had followed this simple advice. Can't say you were not warned.

• Park your car at the end of the driveway or in the street or at least fifty feet away from your home. Then follow the instructions found in you Solar Storm Survivor's Manual for your car right away to make sure that your car and your car battery will still work long after the solar storm is all over. Note: You should leave a copy of the instructions on how to protect your car, with the car, just in case you forget what you must do to make sure that your car will work after the solar storm is long over.  Once you get home, (or use your cell phone on the way home while it still works) ...make sure that everyone on your Emergency Solar Storm Warning System knows to come home right away. Make sure that they also protect their cars from high jolts of electromagnetic energy. Remember that most cars today use electronic ignition and may become damaged if the car's electronics are not properly protected from super high jolts of electromagnetic energy. The proper material and tools required to protect your car(s)

•   If you own or operate a private plane, the electronics on your plane may start to fail while in flight from hi jolts of electromagnetic radiation from the sun. Thus once you receive a Emergency Solar Storm Alert, you need to get your plane back down on the ground right away or risk losing proper control of your plane.
